Information for your arrival
The Hotel am Schwanenhaus is located directly on the banks of the Elbe in Dresden, between the Waldschlösschen Bridge and the Albert Bridge. The location is fantastic! From part of the rooms and the breakfast restaurant, you have a magnificent view of the world famous Old Town silhouette as well as a fantastic and unique view in the direction of Saxon Switzerland.
The large park-like garden surrounding the house invites you to take a walk.
Located in the immediate vicinity of the Elbe, you can also directly reach the Elbe bike path and the Elbe ferry "Johanna" from the Hotel am Schwanenhaus.
Approach by car:
- via A4 coming from Erfurt, Jena via Chemnitz, take exit Dresden-Neustadt and drive via Lommatzscher Str., Leipziger Str. on Bautzner Str. (B6) in direction Holzhofgasse
- via the A13 coming from Berlin or via the A4 coming from Bautzen, take the exit Dresden-Hellerau and drive via B170 towards Dresden-Neustadt train station and from there via B6 towards Holzhofgasse.
Arrival by tram:
- from Dresden main station: lines 3, 7, 8 (exit: Albertplatz)
either from there continue with line 11 (exit: Pulsnitzer Str.) and from there about 2 minutes walk to the hotel
or from Albertplatz 14 minutes by foot - from Dresden-Neustadt train station: line 11 (exit: Pulsnitzer Str.) from there about 2 minutes walk to the hotel
Arrival by plane:
- by cab: about 15 minutes
- by tram: S2 direction Pirna (exit: Dresden-Neustadt station), continue with line 11 (exit: Pulsnitzer Str.) from there about 2 minutes walk to the hotel
Arrival by cab:
- from Dresden main station: about 10 minutes
- from Dresden-Neustadt train station: about 5 minutes
- from the airport: about 15 minutes
